Ingredients
Directions
- Take out a large bowl to prepare your marinade.
- Add all of the marinade ingredients into the bowl and mix everything together until everything is combined. Then set aside for now.
- Prepare your chicken for the recipe by trimming off the fat and butterflying if necessary. Then place in a large ziplock bag.
- Take half of your marinade and add it to the large bag. We’ll save the other half for brushing the cooked chicken later.
- Massage the bag to evenly coat the chicken all around.
- Place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2-8 hours or overnight if possible.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the chicken to the hot skillet in a single layer (work in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding).
- Cook on medium-high for 5-6 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 165°F and no longer pink inside.
- Once your chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet. Finish cooking your remaining chicken.
- Take a pastry brush and brush your leftover marinade on your cooked chicken.
- Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro and serve.

Notes
Brush extra chipotle-honey marinade on the chicken right after cooking for an extra layer of smoky-sweet flavor. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
