Ground Turkey Fajita Wraps

Ingredients
  

Ground Meat Mixture
  • 2 lb 93/7 ground turkey/chicken/beef
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • Juice from half a lime
Fajita Mixture
  • 1 red bell pepper chopped
  • 1 yellow bell pepper chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1/2 white onion chopped
  • Juice from half a lime
Wrap
  • 6 10 inch tortilla wraps
  • Your cooked ground meat mixture
  • Your cooked fajita mixture
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Sour cream
  • Cheese

Directions
 

  1. Rinse your vegetables and begin chopping them on a cutting board.
  2. Turn a burner on medium heat and place a skillet on top.
  3. Spray with non-stick cooking spray and add your chopped vegetables
  4. Add lime juice and a pinch of salt and black pepper
  5. Cook on medium heat for 8-10 minutes until your vegetables start to become a bit translucent.
  6. Once done, remove from the skillet and set aside in a bowl.
  7. Add your ground turkey to the skillet.
  8. Break it up apart and cook on medium heat for 10-12 minutes or until fully cooked.
  9. Drain the excess fat from your ground meat and then return the pan to the burner.
  10. Add the seasonings for your fajita along with the juice from the remaining half of your lime. Mix everything together.
  11. Remove the ground meat from the skillet
  12. Place a tortilla wrap on a plate and add a bit of your turkey and fajita mixture on it.
  13. Optionally add fresh cilantro, sour cream, cheese or your favorite toppings on top.
  14. Fold the edges and roll it up until it’s in the form of a wrap.
  15. Serve

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave before wrapping.
