This whipped cottage cheese dip packs 7 grams of protein per serving and comes together in just 10 minutes of prep. Blending 4% milk fat cottage cheese with garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and a mix of parsley, dill, and chives gives you a creamy, savory dip that works as a veggie dip, pita spread, or sandwich topping. Chill it for 30 minutes to let the flavors develop, then serve it across multiple meals during the week.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz 4% milk fat cottage cheese
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley or 2 tablespoons fresh
  • 2 teaspoons dried dill or 2 tablespoons fresh
  • 1 teaspoon dried chives or 1 tablespoon fresh
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • Juice from half a lemon
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. Take out a high-speed blender or food processor. Add your cottage cheese, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the blender.
  2. Blend on high until completely smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Taste and adjust the seasonings to your preference. Pulse in your fresh herbs until they are evenly distributed but still visible. Transfer to a shallow bowl and drizzle with a little olive oil.
  4. You can optionally chill for at least 30 minutes to enhance the flavor but this is not required.
  5. Serve with sliced veggies, pita, or use as a spread on sandwiches and wraps.
